computer to boot without hard drive
-
Hi everybody
Please ask for help. I want my computer to boot without hard drive, it load operating system images from the server. Do you have any documents or instructions please give me. Thanks for the help -
@nguyenanhquy Though this is not the scope of FOG you’ll find instructions on how to boot live operating systems here in the forums. There is no general document or set of instructions available as every operating system is different! If you tell us more about what exactly you wanna do we might be able to lead you the way.

Thanks very much. I have reviewed some documents to build computer without hard drive :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WW2lD1HQHqU
https://csm.zing.vn/san-pham/csm-boot.html
http://quannetvn.com/website/gcafe-boot/cai-dat-bootrom-gcafe-cai-dat-server.html
I see FOG has almost identical protocols and sees FOG verry good , but I don’t know how to setup a server running FOG and client without hard drives .
can you help me . please -
There is quite a few ressources explaining how to set up a FOG server .
Once you have managed to do that - taking care of possible DNS challenges - you can go forward and either make a live-boot image available or go the way of building your own image and then making that available to your computers in the network. This could probably be done in a “live” way as well.
As Sebastian said this scenario is not what FOG was built for, but it is rather easily imagineable to build something along those lines.
Maybe somebody else has already set up something like this, but the best way will probably be to read the wiki links and tackle it yourself. The developers here are extremely friendly and helpful, but its always easier to help with specific problems and steps than answer a sprawling: Tell me how to set up FOG and do X or Y.
Get your feet wet, dive in and everybody will be happy to help if you get stuck

The intent of the following tutorial is to show you how its possible to use FOG to pxe boot a live environment with FOG: https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/10944/using-fog-to-pxe-boot-into-your-favorite-installer-images
Again creating a disk-less boot environment is not the intent of FOG, its just a proof of concept.
