Hello, recently my company has been getting in new laptops that we have been sending out to clients for use. When they send them back, we need to re-image them. We have not been able to accomplish this because the computers don’t have ethernet ports. At one point we tried to use a USB to Ethernet adapter, but it was unsuccessful. Does anyone have any clue what to do?

If the devices are in bios mode certain usb to etherent adapters support pxe booting. For uefi mode computers you must use the network adapters supported by your hardware. Each hardware vendor has usb to ethernet adapters that support pxe booting. In uefi mode there is a bit more vendor lock in than with bios mode computers.

        But usb booting does work.
