Extend partition mounted to /images
-
The partition mounted to /images is filling up. I have a new hard drive.
How do I extend that partition (after first unmounting it of course)?Logical volumes? Would I need to back up my data (200GB!) first?
Thanks for being merciful to noobs!

@jackiejack Right, I do have a tutorial for that already written up: https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/10450/adding-additional-image-storage-space-to-fog-server

Extending a partition is a bit difficult and or easy depending on how you setup your fog server. Here are some options.
- If your FOG server is setup using LVM then just add another disk volume to your root LVM.
- If you happened to setup a second hard drive already, and you are running a virtual machine, you can extend the /images volume.
- You can add a disk or vmdk specifically for images and then mount that disk over your existing /images directory (after you move all of your data files to the new disk).
- Add a second storage location to your FOG server and then store to both locations.
There are a few more ways to manage this, but it all depends on how your FOG server is setup.

@george1421 Think I will go to option 4… tomorrow in the lab.
That second storage location could be /images2 say perhaps? And I mount new HDD partition to that?
