Cannot set tasking as image is not enabled
-
@jackiejack What I want you to do tomorrow is inspect the image definition itself in FOG web gui make sure the check boxes at the bottom say enabled.
-
@george1421
Yes sir. I did that. And it was checked enabled. -
Is the storage node enabled in Storage Management?
-
@wayne-workman Will answer you first thing tomorrow!
-
@wayne-workman Yes it is enabled
-
@jackiejack this is weird. I’d recommend running the maintenance commands to see if they help: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Troubleshoot_MySQL#Database_Maintenance_Commands
-
@wayne-workman
DELETE FROMgroupMembers
WHEREgmID
= ‘0’ ORgmHostID
= ‘0’ ORgmGroupID
= ‘0’;
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)All others 0 row affected
SAME ERROR - Cannot set tasking…
-
@wayne-workman I have set up my centos machine as per the fog recommendations. I have a huge /image partition. Don’t know if that would cause any issue.
-
Ah… hello?
-
Looks like I should do a full re-install of centos and fog.
-
@JackieJack Maybe it’s just something you misunderstand on the FOG web interface that leads to that error. Can you please explain in detail how you are trying to schedule an imaging task?
-
@sebastian-roth
Well, I created an image definition
Img Management | Create new image | https://imgur.com/wgtkWQN | https://imgur.com/723UCMvNow I go to host mgmt to capture
when I click capture, https://imgur.com/ekCpabc, I get that same error “Cannot set tasking as image is not enabled”
-
@JackieJack Ok, nothing wrong about this. Just thought we better make sure.
Trying to contact you on chat. See speak bubble in top right corner.
-
Is the image actually associated to the machine you’re trying to capture from?
-
@tom-elliott I no understand. I am not in the lab anymore. What do I have to do?
-
@jackiejack go to your host and within that host there should be a part that says host image association. You’ll have to associate the new image you created to the host in order to be able to create a capture task for the desired image from the host
-
the host image part in the below image needs to have an image selected in order to capture
p.s. image below is not mine just needed a reference to show -
Got it.
Will read up on tutorials more carefully.
Thanks for all your help.
