    Description

I am trying to backup fog as a fail safe and I am stuck.

Here is the command I am executing:

    nick@fog-server:/fogproject/utils/FOGBackup$ sudo ./FOGBackup.sh /home/nick/FOG

    This outputs the following:

    • Checking running version…Done
    • Running FOG Version: 1.4.4
Started backup at: 07/16/17 10:20:04 pm BST
    • Backing up database…Done
Reports location: /var/www/fog//management/reports does not exist on this server

What is the error on the bottom line? And if I look in the folder I gave the backup there is nothing in there, even looking at hidden items nothing shows? What am I doing wrong?

Also a secondary question, what do I use the fog client for? Can I remotely add the host to a domain or change the hosts hostname, this is after the clone has been completed as I know how to join a domain immediately after imaging, I am wondering what power it has after Windows is installed

Thanks in advance and any help is much appreciated!

You can do a manual backup without much manual work. Mount fog’s NFS share at x.x.x.x:/images and copy everything. Then export the DB using the web interface.

I don’t understand what you’re attempting to backup. Though you might want to edit the script as reports is now located at /var/www/fog/lib/reports instead of /var/www/fog/management/reports
