An Error Has Detected

We need a little background information here.
- What version of FOG
- What hardware are you trying to deploy to
- hopefully
/dev/sdal
where it should say /dev/sda1
-
I received a picture of this error.
-
Latest version of FOG trying to capture optiplex 7040 how do I check if that’s in the right location bc it’s possible it’s not

Latest version of FOG
trying to capture dell optiplex 7040
Not sure if that folder is in the correct location how do I check It’s prob not -
@msaglioc99 The picture indicates that you did not properly shutdown the OS before you attempted to capture it. Remember in Win10 a shutdown is not actually a power off, but rather an advanced sleep state where the disks are not shutdown fully.
-
@msaglioc99 You either need to disable hybrid sleep or open an command window and key in
shutdown /s /t 0
or have sysprep power off the system when its done running. There is another method that I can’t remember off the top of my head, its something like shift+pick shutdown from the menu but I don’t know. -
@george1421 Okay I disabled fast shutdown in control panel and did a restart verses a shutdown. I will let you know if this fixed the issue
-
/dev/sdal where it should say /dev/sda1
before you mentioned hopefully this is in the right location. How do I check this?
I am still receiving the error

You are still getting the error message in the picture below?
If that is the case the picture is telling you what is wrong. The disk has the dirty bit turned on showing that the computer wasn’t shutdown properly.

So I was able to do a “Full disk Repair” and then use command line to shut down the system which seemed to fix the error I was having and am now doing a successful capture! Thank You!
