Description
I am running Ubuntu 16.04 and FOG server 1.3.5. The setup had been working flawlessly for the last 6 months or so. Yesterday I was going to image some more computers and received the database schema error. Nothing had been done or changed in FOG itself. I don’t if maybe the OS received an update.
How do I resolve this without losing my existing database and images?
Thank you,
Anthony -

I installed 1.4.4. and am back up and running again. Everything seems to still be in tact. Thanks again for the help. -
Will you check to see if this article applies: https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/10006/ubuntu-is-fog-s-enemy
If you have unattended upgrades from ubuntu, that probably helped/broke your install.

Rerun the installer and it should fix the problem.
I can’t remember the link at the moment, but this is almost certainly related to the unattended upgrades. More info can be found in the Announcements under “Ubuntu is FOG’s enemy”

Thank you for the quick reply.
Will I still be able to use my existing database if I reinstall? It also looks like I need to look at my unattended updates setting.

@ariederer26 The installer does not lose anything. I’d also highly recommend updating, personally I’d say the RC’s but I understand if you can only go to the latest stable. We’re now up to 1.4.4 for stable, and the RC’s are working towards 1.5.0. This you can find in https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Upgrade_to_trunk

@ariederer26 Yeah, for right now I would say upgrade to 1.4.4 and hold off on the 1.5.0RC series a bit (the new gui looks really nice though). There has been a lot of fixes between 1.3.5 and 1.4.1 around single disk resizable that you will need. The developers fixed a few nasty bugs in 1.3.5 and then polished the resizable functions in 1.4.1.
