      is there somewhere a distribution who includes one linux with fog already installed for users who don’t have the level for installing it by themselves? like trixbox for asterisk, or ipcop etc…?

      Thanks in advance

        Currently there is not a FOG distribution (OS + FOG) like trixbox.

        Unfortunately you have to install the linux OS and then add in FOG. Its important to have your linux server at a static IP address before adding in FOG.

        There are several step by step installation guides for linux and FOG.

        Here is one for installing Centos7 and FOG: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=CentOS_7

        Here is one for Ubuntu 16.04 and FOG: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Ubuntu_16.04_Server

          @george1421
          thanks.
          I have a student who tryed many times with several distributions.
          But at each time he’s got a white page in the web interface after install.
          I use a old version by myself, il did’nt have this trouble, but I don’t find the reason of his matter.

            @bacprotr49 I would recommend that you install the linux OS and then install the dev branch of FOG 1.3.5RC14 (at the time I write this).

            If you still get the white screen, please post in the forum and one of us will help you resolve the issue. A white screen means that something goes wrong in the FOG backend.

              what distribution do you recommend with this version? ubuntu? debian?.. which version?
              what do you mean with fog backend?

                @bacprotr49 “My” preference is Centos/RHEL but that is because that is what I use every day.

                For those in the Debian camp, Ubuntu 16.04 or Debian 8.

                I would stick with the mainstream linux distro that I mentioned above, other variants may work, but you may have issues.

                I would say pick a linux distro that your support staff has the most comfort in. If you are a windows shop, probably Ubuntu with the managment gui is more like windows. If you run windows via command line then centos 7. But its hard to draw an exact comparison which is better. They are both good.
