Description
I just installed the FOG Client on a dual boot machine, both on Linux and Windows. I then tried to shutdown remotely, but without success.
Also, I would like to know it is possible to install FOG Client and make a multicast deploy, or if it is necessary to install FOG Client after the deploy.07/10/2016 00:06 Middleware::Communication The issue as I see it is our 'invalid security token’s which seems to be fixed for RC 12. The reason shutdown isn’t working is because the client cannot authenticate to the server. Also, you must know that having the client on the same system within multiple boot layout can cause the invalid security token also. This is because the client within Linux cannot communicate the new security token to the windows based fog client.
Please help us build the FOG community with everyone involved. @Tom-Elliott Would it help to debug if I install the client just on Linux (or Windows) and try to shutdown? Because I have made this before, but didn’t save the logs. I remember that it didn’t shutdown, even with the client installed only on Linux and the machine never booted on Windows

I have a box in the basement that I have two images for, that I go back and forth between as I need. One is Server 2012 R2, the other is Win10. Of course I have the fog client installed on both images. Every single time I swap to the other image, authentication for the client breaks, and I have to clear the encryption for that host. It’s because there are two OSs reporting in as the same machine. Of course this would cause authentication issues, I would expect it to.
But for me, I understand, and clicking a “clear encryption” button isn’t a big deal to do when I decide to swap to another OS every few weeks for my testing purposes.
