Multicast slow, only 10Mbit/s

Hi. I have problem. Unicast use maximum speed (1Gbit/s) but Multicast only 10Mbit/s. SVN Revision: 5956. Iperf3 test TCP and UDP runs on 1Gbit. Anyone have solution?

Multicast is highly dependent on ALL variables of hosts.

For example, a one to one UDP test might prove 1GB is still applicable, but One to many, and one host with a 10Mbps link will put ALL hosts in the multicast group at 10 Mbps.

Can you provide more details on your setup?

Testing on two PC same type as fog server. Unicast restoring speed is 4-5GB/min for each, multicast ~160MB/min.

Like I said, that doesn’t give us anything.

Maybe your switches are filtering UDP traffic?

@czajne what is the exact switch you’re using? What happens when you multicast to just 2 computers ?
