I have a stand alone Fog Server with a dedicated 2950 switch using the default vlan. This setup doesn’t touch my production network. When I try and setup a Multicast session all the computers hang on “Please Wait”. I read somewhere that had something do with my multicast switch setup.

I looked at this article - http://fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Cisco_Multi_Cast - but I can’t find where to configure “ip im sparse-dense-mode”.

I also looked at this article - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps708/products_tech_note09186a008059a9df.shtml - and configured per Solution#3 manual mrouter pointing to my Fog server.

Any thoughts?

login in via web access or ssh/serial cable to configure that setting i believe

also check the two posts below:

http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/slow-multicast.217/#post-1120
http://fogproject.org/forum/threads...ll-try-again-in-next-iteration.232/#post-1042

After installing FOG I Installed Webadmin, I logged into the mysql section created a new user (fogadmin) and password, giving this account full permission. I then edited the MYSQL info in /var/www/fog/commons/config.php + /opt/fog/service/etc/config.php. to match.

In those two config files what are using to identify the mysql host? IP, hostname, or localhost?
