Set up DHCP on Ubuntu 11.04?
-
Hi!
I’ve been usin Fog 0,32 in Ubuntu 10.11 and it was working perfect.
Now i upgrade Ubuntu to 11.04 and in this version there is some change in dhcs-server3 that is replaced with dhcpd. Now dhcp is not working anymore and PC-clients can’t do PXE-boot.So how do i set up dhcp on Ubuntu 11.04?

There isn’t much special. You might just try removing dhcp and reinstalling it. When you install, it should ask for configuration parameters.
Make a backup of your dhcp configuration file just in case.

I don’t know if this may be relevant or not, but I’ve found that unless the server is connected to a network when the machine is booted the dhcp server didn’t start up. Plugging the network in afterwards provided basic connectivity but you still had no dhcp service until you reboot again. Had me scratching my head for a while.
