Does this cause problems for you? It generally shouldn’t for FOG.

@ChrisRaff Is the boot process able to continue and do its thing? Because if so you can safely ignore this warning. It’s just complaining about being unable to set the clock which isn’t realy relevant.

@Quazz it just goes onto a black screen with a symbol flashing in the bottom left of the screen and it stays like that

@ChrisRaff How long did you wait? Like 10 seconds or 5 minutes? Sometimes it takes a fair amount of time (on some hardware).

As Quazz already said, the “Fast TSC calibration failed” message can be irgnored!

Please enable kernel debug and crank up the kernel error level in FOG Configuration -> FOG settings (expand all and search for KERNEL). Hopefully we can get some more info on where it all hangs/needs a lot of time…

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

@Quazz No it does not continue. Nothing happens.

I have imaged other laptops since.

                      Thanks for your help Sebastian

Can you point me in the right direction in terms of enabling Kernel Debug in the settings and also increasing the error level. We are using Fog 1.1.2 . This has only happened on one laptop model same as reported above

@jaffascake FGO 1.1.2 is quite old. Does not have the kernel debug options mentioned. You might look into bringing up a new FOG trunk server to see if this one is imaging your Dell E5570 fine.

@ChrisRaff Can you please try this again and check the Test Management in the web gui after some minutes. Lately we had some machines that did actually image but just didn’t show anything on the client screen. By the way, which FOG version are you running?
