Issue with FOG after install
-
Hello everyone,
just yesterday I ran an install of FOG 1.2 on Ubuntu Server 14. Finished it completely and was able to login without an issue…
Fast forward to today and come to find out a co-worker shutdown the machine and I’m assuming he forced shut down… which may have caused this to happen.
I start the machine up and when I head over to /fog/management it throws me right back to the Database Schema Installer / Updater portion of the setup as if I never installed the FOG database.
I’ve also attempted to restart the machine properly and also try to restart MySQL (since I thought it might have been something within MYSQL that’s causing it) However, I think it might be a bug and I’m not sure what steps to take to fix it… Please help me as we’re really wanting to test FOG out in a small class environment. Thank you

Your right about it being related to MySQL. We have a wiki article all about it.
There’s a section in here specifically for Ubuntu:

@Wayne-Workman Awesome thanks for the Wiki link. It seems to have worked.
Out of all OS’s would you say linux or windows is better to run FOG with?

Probably Linux.

@Wayne-Workman Just want to update you that for some reason I kept running into the issue, instead I made MySQL services be the first services to boot and I have not ran into the issue since. (just another work around)
