Imaging - Single-disk -Resizeable - Latest SVN - doesn't extend partition
-
@Wayne-Workman
It’s actually MBR. 1 Mechanical HDD, 2 partitions, windows 7.FYI… This image did work before updating.
Thanks for looking into this!
-
@GFm What version did you update from?
-
I’m not exactly sure… I know on Friday last week I was at…
Version: 5972 in fog… rev 4653Then i updated on Tuesday and it fixed my host registering problem, but apparently the imaging wasn’t correct and I didnt know because I didnt login to the computer after imaging to find out until today.
-
@GFm It’s definitely a bug. Sit tight, it’ll be fixed shortly.
-
@GFm I’m hoping, once again, that I’m not always an idiot and have found some things in the code base.
I don’t know if it will work as I wasn’t experiencing the same problem described. I did find a bunch of potential problems though, and of them it appears that the “expandPartition” was not receiving the proper listing of partitions.
Specifically, I think it was attempting to expand the parts as: “/dev/sda1 /dev/sda2” as opposed to trying to expand them individually. This may still be the case, but I really don’t know.

@Tom-Elliott
Sounds good. Let me know when you want me to update and try again. Thanks for checking this out! -
@GFm I think I was tired when I wrote that. Can you please update and try?
-
Different error now… see error attached. I did get the same result of two different machines/images.
-
@GFm Please update again.
I found the problem by completely replicating your environment (sys.img.000 style images and all) and found the problem.
This has since been fixed. Thank you for reporting the issues and I hope this means your downloads will be MUCH happier.

@Tom-Elliott
So, the one image that is single partition, resizable works (extends just fine), but this image below does not work. It won’t extend. Thanks for your help so far!LAM-DH61DL-MMS158-AD - 71

@GFm Can you re-re-reupgrade/update?
-
I’ll do that first thing in the morning and let you know. Thanks!
-
No luck… now I get this…
-
@GFm forgive my being an idiot lately.
I found the issue and am pushing the script fix right now.
It will be about 5 minutes before I can upload new inits.
-

-
@GFm At least I have to kind of helping me pinpoint issues now lol.

No luck on that same machine (DH61 with HHD), but my t440 (HDD) and my dell e5550 (SSD) worked fine. See pics below for my setup. Thanks!
