I am running Fog Server 1.2.0 and the latest kernel. I have my exit mode set to “Exit Style” and my laptops are working fine when moving past the PXE boot sequence to the windows boot, but my M93Z desktops are going to a black screen with a white blinking cursor. if i change the exit style to “Grub” the reverse happens, desktops work and the laptop fails. Any ideas would be great.

Your M93Z’s are setup for UEFI boot?

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

@Tom-Elliott - it is set to boot legacy first.

I’ve asked for the exit style to be a Host-Setting instead of a global setting.

it’s in the feature requests area somewhere. I’ll bump it.

@Wayne-Workman - that would be a great feature.

Please update to the latest, you can now set hosts with their own exit types. You do not HAVE to, but the options are there. I am guessing this was the thread as to why the original request got bumped. Sorry to have not done this sooner.

To make your life a little bit easier, you can put the systems you need to update into a group and do it all in one swoop rather than having to edit each host individually.

I’ve solve the thread only to signify the action that is needed to get this working has been addressed. If this is not operating properly, please submit a bug report and describe what, or what not, is happening.

                    Thank you,

@Tom-Elliott So is there a specific reason you would want to select these options? Which is the best style?

@EAHarvey Some systems like exit, others like grub, others yet like sanboot. It is too dependent to rely solely on the global style.

@EAHarvey I’ve found it mostly depends on the Firmware HDD Operation mode.
