New Client: Active Directory join not working and Host deletet
-
So, i tried the solution form Tom wich he posted here --> http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/new-client-0-bytes.12625/
I re entered the password under Fog Settings and changed the password in hosts setings. I also checked the new client check box. But log file still says error 1326.
Also the Host was “deleted” form the host list after changing the password. I hit the back button so i could, “restore” it. The funny thing is that i had to reenter the MAC and activate the Services and hit update.
Host was in the list again and also showed the last download task. So it wasn’t really gone…Thanks for the help.

can you try upgrading. I fixed the mac so it doesn’t delete itself anymore, hopefully. I think this is what caused the domain issue potentially too. It couldn’t find the host because the mac wasn’t there.

Updated to latest SVN. Host was gone again, tried to add again. Now i always get a white page when i cklick on add. Had this before, the host was added anyway, but now it doesn’t add it at all…

I deleted the MAC from the DB now i were able to add the host, but the white page still appears.
-
So Fog Client is also updated now, but i still got the error 1326.

Once again, i don’t know the exact specifications of what you’re attempting to do, but if you still need the legacy client, I would highly recommend against trying to use the new client in the same environment. The new client is an upgrade from before but we don’t know yet if the AD Joining features work properly. That said, what I did tell you is correct, but it’s a all or none kind of thing. If you set the FOG_NEW_CLIENT setting, it will effectively break the legacy settings (and potentially the new one as we don’t know yet if it works).

I’m currently on SVN 3179 and the host MAC delete still happened to me when I tried the active directory setting with the new client option.

While old I figure it pertinent that this is fixed in current svn. Was fixed at some point int he 3300’s.
