I helped @mati-92 get past the dnsmasq issues via TeamViewer. however the virtual host he’s trying to network boot is trying to get default.pxe from a strange IP address instead of the virtual fog server.

        ideas?

Is the virtual fog server’s network bridged or natted?

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

It was originally NAT’d but I couldn’t figure out why the virtual host was trying to pull default.pxe from the weird IP, so I tried to set it up as bridged and that did not work out at all.

Then I tried to get DHCP installed on the fog server and then put it on an isolated virtual lan but I couldn’t get DHCP to even install.

I am in over my head on this one - I suggested he install on physical software and try then with dnsmasq but he is saying Fedora 22 doesn’t work on his G5 server which I have reservations about… I’m not sure where to go from here - a fresh pair of eyes are needed.

What is the exact configuration you’re using?

What are options 66/67 set to?

jbob and I were both teamviewered in.

Something, server-side (not firewalld/iptables/selinux) appears to be completely blocking access.

@Tom-Elliott For what? undionly.kpxe ? or the default.ipxe ? The issue I was running into when I was trying to help was somehow it was looking at the completely wrong IP when trying to get default.ipxe

@Wayne-Workman We’re not seeing that. We can’t, from a windows machine, directly tftp. We can only locally tftp it seems. This leads me to believe it’s something with {W/L}AN/NAT Redirection. I don’t know though. I wish we had a more suitable means to verify the issue we’re seeing.

@Wayne-Workman a bit late in the day but have just setup Fog Imaging server. Could get Realtek Nics to work. Your post solved the issue.
