    Hello, everyone

    I moved all my images from one server to another due to a failed upgrade to 1.3. I was only able to salvage the /images folder in the process. Everything seemed to be working well but now I can only select the images if I PXE boot the workstations and select from the image menu during registration and the image process starts successfully. If I attempt to manually select download from the web GUI for the that hostname it returns the error “Download task failed to create for HOSTNAME with image NAME OF IMAGE. To setup download task, you must first upload an image”. Does anyone know what’s happened here?

    Thanks,
    Drew

      Make sure your permissions are all set correctly and look at this: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Troubleshoot_FTP#You_must_first_upload_an_image_to_create_a_download_task

          @Tim.Trageser

          That worked well. My existing images in /images were okay after doing this but I found that I had images stuck in /images/dev and those images still have the issue. I’m working through that now.

          Thanks,
          Drew

            @curvature Please note that the upload-task moves the image from /dev to /images via FTP after uploading completes. If there are old images stuck in /dev, you will just need to delete those.

            If you upload an image and it moves correctly, you’re good to go.
