1.2.0 upgrade TFTP Error - File Not Found

Greetings:

Just upgraded our fog server from .32 to 1.2.0 last week, running on Ubuntu 12.04. Install seemed to go without a hitch but when I try to pxe boot I get:

PXE-T01: File Not Found
PXE-E3B: TFTP Error - File Not Found

I’ve made sure to change 66&67 on our DHCP server, I’ve checked file locations and settings per solutions I’ve found online and on the wiki. I’m at a loss, what should I be looking for after an upgrade?

I am also getting the same error.

The error produced is:
TFTP
PXE-T01: File not found
PXE-E3B: TFTP Error - File Not found
PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM

Except that I am getting and IP address a the boot on the machine and it is the only machine giving me the error. The error.log is not providing too much information as there are not errors for the particular host. I am not getting any errors on the issue. The system is:

Compaq 5008 MT
Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller Series v1.18

There are multiple PXE boot files under /tftpboot and all of them have been tried without success. I am still investigating the issue.

Can you try downloading any of the files with tftp commandline tool from the “problematic” client(s)?

All of my clients are problematic…I was able to download undionly.kpxe from the two PC’s I tested.

Maybe try capturing the DHCP traffic to see which options are really send to the clients. Use a hub to connect between client and network and wireshark to capture the traffic. Keep your eyes open for the filename in your DHCP packets. Possibly an intermediate switch might change the filename on the way?!?

Good call Uncle Frank. It looks like the DHCP server is passing the right IP and filename (unidonly.kpxe) to the client. Then the client turns around and asks FOG for undionly.0?? I don’t have that file in my tftpboot directory, but I renamed undionly.kpxe to undionly.0 and my clients boot right up! Hooray! Thanks for your help!
