"Unable to locate image store"
-
First, i’m just a preacher, trying to help out our 50 student grade school. I’d say this is all Greek to me, but I know Greek
I’ve just installed fogserver 1.1.2 on a fresh installation of Ubuntu 12.04LTS, to an ESXi 5.5 virtual server. Everything seems to be running fine until i try to image one of the machines in our computer lab. They all register fine, but then hang on the error
“Unable to locate image store”I’ve searched every forum and followed every suggestion, checking ownership / permissions of the /images and /images/dev I’ve checked the storage node default member and password. I’ve fought through some pxe boot issues, but am stuck dead in the water. Blessings to anyone who can point me in any direction from here.

Hi David, I’ve seen similar things when there is a problem with the image on the fog server. I’m assuming that you have done the following
[]Defined an image in the fog interface “Image Mangement->Create new Image”
[]Associated that image with the host you are trying to upload from (under host mangement)

Created an upload task for that host
Is that correct? Also could you be specific about exactly when you see the error message? -
I thank you for your time, expertise and assumptions.
I built a vmware box, learned ubuntu, configured fogserver, but never completed step 3 below. I created an “image,” booted the machines i wanted to image, and then followed the fogserver menu for full inventory and image, assuming i could push it without creating the task. All 15 lab computers now happily humming away. I thank and bless you!
