After enabling root, i can't get login-screen
-
Hi!
I’m trying to install Fog 1.2.0 on Ubuntu 14.04. In the instruction it say to enable root and ret password on root.
Then execute this commang;
echo “greeter-show-manual-login=true” >> /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
and then reboot.
Now i don’t get any login-screen and my monitor goes into Sleep-mode.Is it possible to repair this without reinstalling?

Problem solved!
Askubuntu saved me.
Fog-documentation is not updated yet. Ubuntu 14.04;
Ref: “As far as I know, /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf doesn’t exist in Ubuntu 14.04” and “The equivalent of /etc/lighdm/lightdm.conf in Ubuntu 14.04 is /usr/share/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/50-ubuntu.conf”.Black screen on login maybe lightdm problem
