New Install of FOG 1.1.2 and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
-
root@SC-Image:/# apachectl start
The program ‘apachectl’ is currently not installed. You can install it by typing:
apt-get install apache2.2-common
-
okay
run
sudo apt-get update;sudo apt-get upgrade;sudo apt-get install apache2.2-common
-
After that’s all done run:
sudo apt-get install libapache2-mod-auth-mysql
-
Okay, I ran that. Then to be sure the install worked I ran:
sudo apt-get install apache2.2-common
By itself and got this again:
root@SC-Image:/# sudo apt-get install apache2.2-common
Reading package lists… Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information… Done
apache2.2-common is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
and still get this:
root@SC-Image:/# apachectl start
The program ‘apachectl’ is currently not installed. You can install it by typing:
apt-get install apache2.2-common
-
Okay, ran the libapache2-mod-auth-mysql install
-
okay try this:
sudo apt-get purge apache2 apache2.2-common libapache2-mod-auth-mysql
Try rerunning the installer.
-
* Setting up and starting Apache Web Server…OK
You still need to install/update your database schema.
This can be done by opening a web browser and going to:http://10.120.88.146/fog/management
Press [Enter] key when database is updated/installed.
But I can’t access the web interface, I even tried replacing my IP with ‘localhost’
-
and you’re going to:
http://10.120.88.146/fog/management -
Yes
-
Apache2 even shows to be running
-
can you try:
sudo ufw disable
-
root@SC-Image:/home/fog# sudo ufw disable
Firewall stopped and disabled on system startup
-
now can you access the link?
-
No. I tried restarting apache2 and got this:
root@SC-Image:/home/fog# service apache2 restart
No apache MPM package installed
Which led me to this:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2114724Does this give you any leads as to what to try next?
-
sudo apt-get install apache2-mpm-prefork
sorry about the large block:
apt-get purge apache2-mpm-prefork
apt-get install apache2-mpm-prefork
/etc/init.d/nginx stop
service apache2 start
cp -arp /root/apache2/mods-available/php5* /etc/apache2/mods-available/
cp -arp /root/apache2/mods-enabled/php5* /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/
service apache2 start
apt-get install libapache2-mod-php5
-
I got to the third and got this, haven’t moved on yet:
root@SC-Image:/home/fog# /etc/init.d/nginx stop
bash: /etc/init.d/nginx: No such file or directory
-
continue on. It’s just to ensure it’s not running.
