When I go to Reports and select Inventory I download the csv file but when I open it in excel the formatting is way off. I didn’t have this issue with .32 but now that I am at 1.0.1 I can’t get it formatted right. Is there something I need to do in the gui or on the server?

i don’t believe that those issues have been reported before on the reports page, and my tests show it is working fine.
do you have any files in the fog/management/reports directory? if so, there shouldn’t be
i recommend upgrading to 1.1.1 as a couple bugs in the reports section are fixed there

I dont have any files in that directory. When I upgraded to 1.1.1 I had nothing but issues so I downgraded back. The pdf report is fine but the excel report is just wrong. I thought it might be my machine that is causing the issue so I tried thre different machines and it is all formatted to the left.

I’ll see if I can replicate the issue but the fact the first two lines seem proper, it appears to be a potential issue in how the browser is handling the download. Is htmldoc installed properly? What OS are you running for fog?

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

I am sorry I tried to fix the formatting myself in the second row and that is when I figured that it was going to be a huge undertaking

My guess,

When you opened up the report, did Excel ask you what what delimiter you wanted to use?

Did you not set it up for comma and possibly chose another delimiter? Just wondering.

No I doesn’t ask for me for what delimiter. And I didn’t realize I was supposed to set that up during the process
