SOLVED! Used linux kernel 3.9rc8 with Core.config

Hello, I’m playing around with ghost here in my department for a week now but I’m having issues with registering a particular model: HP ProBook 6455b

I can get it to PXE boot, but when I go to the compatibility check, the “disk” fails.

I’ve tried a few different kernels: 3.6.9 Core, 2.6.36 KitchenSink, and I’ve even tried playing around with creating my own kernel using 2.6.39.4 source with KitchenSink.

I did a kernel check in the terminal while running a live cd on the machine, and here is the output:

        Jian Zhang-

Unfortunately, 3.8.8 still fails on the disk check.

However! I created by own kernel using the linux kernel 3.9rc8 with core and it works! I followed some instructions from this post: http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/hard-disk-not-found-lenovo.4159/#post-11290
