Imaging with FOG and managing computers with Intune/Autopilot, is this possible?

Has anyone done anything like this, is it even possible?
The place where I currently work was bought out and let’s say their imaging solution is non existent. They currently have the vendor put a generic image on Dell laptops, after which they still have to install apps and apply Windows updates etc which takes about 3 hours overall.

I showed how I can do this using FOG in under 5 minutes BUT they want to manage the computers using Intune, and having the ability to recover the install in case the customer needs to reinstall Windows from home. Any ideas?

@kansukee I have never used Intune/Autopilot but from what I read about it I guess you can image using FOG and manage the devices with Intune/Autopilot. Give it a go and let us know here!

Searching the forums I can find a few hints on it here and there.
