traying to run a exe file with the SnapinPck and get error “Cannot find central directory”. so i not able to install the program.
Have someone a fix for that or have i done something woring?
-
@kfritland We need more details to be able to help you. FOG version and snapin settings would be a good start.
-
fog version: 1.5.9
When creating the snapin:
Snapin type: Snapin Pack
Snapin Pack template: EXE
Snapin Pack File: [FOG_SNAPIN_PATH]\test.exe
Snapin Enabled: Yes
Snapin Arguments Hidden: No
Snapin Timeout (seconds): Blank
Replicate?: Yes
Reboot after install: No
Shutdown after install: No -
@kfritland said in SnapinPack error:
Snapin Pack File: [FOG_SNAPIN_PATH]\test.exe
You sure you want to use a SnapinPack in this case?
https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=SnapinPacks#SnapinPacks_are_Compressed
“Unlike a normal Snapin where a single file is uploaded to the Fog server, SnapinPacks are a collection of files that are compressed with the .zip format.” -
@sebastian-roth
understand
what is the best way then to install a software that not have “snapin Arguments” that work? have open the program and try with the documentation for the builder of software. -
@kfritland The software needs to have a proper silent install mechanism. Otherwise the fog-client and probably any other “setup helper” tool can’t handle it. Which software setup do you want to run as a snapin?
-
i need to run:
- Epson projection tool 1.41.exe
- Eventmaster tool 9.1.0.0.exe
- EVISION 3.9.exe
- iSet (ROE) 4.2.exe
- Panasonic ASA 5.4.18.exe
- Panasonic EasyIP 4.2.5.0.exe
- Panasonic Geomertry Manager 6.4.18.exe
- MIDRA_RCS_v02.02.03.air (if it is possible)
