Hello, I have many computers Acer TMP P214-53-51NY and I wanted to use FOG.

      • SecureBoot is switched OFF
      • BIOS have ONLY UEFI mode
      • I tried many efi files - there is only one working SNP.EFI
      • I can see FogProject MENU

      BUT
I cannot run bzimage it stucks sometimes 23%, sometimes 83%…
I dont know what to do. Can you help me, please?
I9 read many forums posts that is better to use Legacy mode, but this laptop has no change.
AM I correct FOG dont work with UEFI well?

That is an incorrect statement. FOG does work well with uefi. It might not work well with your Acer bios/firmware.

So here are a few things I want you to try.

        1. Make sure the firmware (bios) is up to date on the Acer
        2. Lets have you rebuild iPXE to get the latest version: https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/15826/updating-compiling-the-latest-version-of-ipxe/2

The snp.efi and snponly.efi are akin to undionly.kpxe is in bios. These use the network adapter’s built in driver. ipxe.kpxe and ipxe.efi are more like a linux kernel where they contain all of the most common network drivers. So its possible that these Acer computers are newer than the version of iPXE that ships with FOG, so ipxe.efi might not have the needed driver. So recompiling ipxe might help. But surely having update bios firmware is a good first step.

Please help us build the FOG community with everyone involved. It's not just about coding - way more we need people to test things, update documentation and most importantly work on uniting the community of people enjoying and working on FOG!

@george1421 error persist. But now 1 cannot reimage same old computers now. Onlyone file working for acer models is SNP.EFI.
I can see menu, but every time syste mstuck on Bzimage

@fog_client Just to be clear all get stuck transferring bzImage. The others (like ipxe.efi) do exactly what when you try to load them? Do you see the FOG iPXE menu?

I do have an option we can use but I want to make sure we need to go down this path before opening that door.
