OMEN 30L GT13 PXE Boot Issue
-
Hello everyone, I wish to image brand new HP OMEN 30L GT13 (With BIOS updated on latest firmware) but i encountered issues. First of all, everything was working well with other computer like Zotac Backpack or HP Backpack for exemple. My system use Cisco Meraki service for DHCP option. When I tried to boot on PXE with HP Omen, i am stuck at the configuration of the network interface.
It tells me “No configuration method succeeded”.What I tried : - Add DHCP option in Cisco Meraki : Code 067 or 67 with text “/tftpboot/realtek.kpxe” or “realtek.kpxe” or “realtek.efi” etc…
- Updated FOG to 1.5.9
- Updated BIOS computer
Can you provide any help ?
 Thank you very much !

@aheerds Lets see if recompiling the latest version of iPXE gets you past this issue: https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/15826/updating-compiling-the-latest-version-of-ipxe/2 Also you will want to make sure your FOS Kernel is up to date at 5.15.x release for this new hardware.

@george1421 Thank you for your reply, I did try to update iPXE version and it not solved the issue but Kernel Update did. I have been able to quick register, capture and it is now deploying again to test the image.
Thank you for your help it saved me !

@aheerds Glad you have it working. Just for clarity ipxe.efi/snp.efi/undionly.kpxe will get you to the FOG iPXE menu. Once you select a menu selection that’s when FOS Linux (a.k.a “the kernel”) takes over. Both (ipxe and FOS) will throw the “No configuration method succeeded”.
