      Hi Guys,

      I have been using FOG successfully for many months now and is now part of our production environment. We have imaged many different Lenovo laptops without issue. T470, T490, T14sGen1.
      Well we got 2 new T14s Gen 2 and out of the box we have issues with loading the image and hoping if maybe with some help we can figure out why,

      When one of our staff loaded T14sGen2 on the first laptop was painfully slow, I disabled everything I could think of in the bios under security thinking that might be a cause but still no change. still sat there for days at 56% this image is like 50GB. Now it doesnt even work gets stuck at restoring partition tables.

      So I get the second one out. I was able to capture np. took less then 10 minutes. As soon as I go to load an image it goes to a crawl again. Used to take less then 10 minutes but this model just not cooperating. again painfully slow. writing in kb currently writing at 45mb/min. I have this issue on 2 different networks with 2 different fog servers. I put a call into Lenovo , dont know if that will bear any fruit though. Any thoughts or idea would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks!

        @lanius The first question I have is what version of FOS Linux kernel are you running (FOG WebUI->FOG Configuration->Kernel update). If you have not done so update to 5.10.x . Now I do have to say that we are finding that the linux kernel 5.15.x (which is still in FOG development) does fix an issue with new hardware that has the realtek 8168 network adapter. BUT I would start with making sure you have 5.10.x series of FOS Linux installed first.

          Hi Yes We are on 5.10.71 which resolved some other hardware issues in the past.

            @lanius The developers just released 5.15.x series kernels for the update. They are finding that vary newest hardware needs this kernel if your system contains realtek network interfaces. (this info was just realized in the last 10 days)

              @george1421

              Thanks! How can I get this update. I believe the last builds were also realtek. Worth a go for sure.

                @lanius Well I thought they said they released it, but I guess not yet. You can get it from here: https://github.com/FOGProject/fos/releases/tag/20220203 from the dev environment. You will have to manually download bzImage and bzImage32. Those files go into /var/www/html/fog/service/ipxe directory on the FOG server.

                You can confirm the version of them by using the linux command on the fog server of file bzImage that should post the version number of the kernel.

                  @Lanius @george1421 Official kernels are only released on github from now on: https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/16044/fog-kernels-and-inits-moving-to-github

                  I just put up a hint on the old location.

                  Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

                  Please support FOG if you like it: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Support_FOG

                          @lanius said in LenovoT14sGen2 Cannot Get Image:

                          This update has solved my problem

                          So just for clarity updating your FOS Linux kernel to 5.15.x fixed imaging on your Lenovo T14 Gen2?
