    Hi all,

I installed Fog 1.5.9 on latest Centos Stream9 on Hyper-V.

I have a blank page when Fog installer ask to install/update database schema on
    http ://192.xxx.xxx.xxx/fog/management.

My firewall is off ( systemctl status firewalld => Active : Inactive (dead)

My root password isn’t blank (because fog don’t accept blank database root password…)

And mysql -u root commnd return me

Have you any idea why i’can’t access to my fog management page?
    Thanks,

      CentOS Stream9

Don’t think anyone tested FOG in this OS before.

I guess it’s due to the PHP version. Please run rpm -qa | grep php as root and post output here.

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

Please support FOG if you like it: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Support_FOG

@Ricotty We are working on PHP 8.0 support. You need to be patient. Though I can’t promised you that the FOG installer will work perfectly fine in CentOS Stream9. Not sure if we ever officially support this.

In this case, what is the the most or better linux edition for install and use Fog ?

I tried to install FOG with CentOs Stream9 because when I try with Debian 11.2.0, i had a error during fog installation with php-gettext…
And with Debian 10.10, i had a problem with Hyper-V graphic driver ( not comptabile ?) during installation.

You might want to take a look at @Wayne-Workman’s great install stats as well as the latest auto installer tests. You can add AlmaLinux 8 and RockyLinux 8 to this list as I have tested those manually lately using dev-branch.
