init.xz...............Connexion time out (http://ipxe.org/4c0a6090) & mounting x.x.x.x:/images/dev on /images failed: Connection timed out

Hello, everyone !

I’m trying to capture an image, but it doesn’t work…
I have 2 error :

first one was an error with init.xz
the process stop here and print :
“init.xz…Connexion time out (http://ipxe.org/4c0a6090)”

second one is when I reboot the computer, sometimes it’s almost worked until suddenly it’s write that :
mounting x.x.x.x:/images/dev on /images failed: Connection timed out

maybe it’s due to the fact that fog and the computer were not in the same VLAN
how can I do without changing the VLAN ?

@Pinki This sounds like a layer 7 firewall is in between FOG server and the client/host. Sometimes alles the transfer of init.xz but more often blocks it.

The later error is due to the firewall not allowing connections on random network ports which are used by NFS.

Either way you need to talk to your network/security team and see if they can help.
