@btoffolon The “ACPI Bios error (bug)” is probably not causing the hang I think. What’s more of a problem is the “self-detected stall on CPU” message! What exact hardware do you see this issue on?

You might try disabling ACPI in the Linux kernel to get rid of the ACPI message and if you are really lucky it might also help with the actual issue. Go to the FOG web UI and edit this host’s settings. Add acpi=off in the Kernel Parameter field and save settings. Try PXE booting into the deploy task again.

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

@sebastian-roth It’s a old model of computer, i can’t change them right now. Here the HP page : https://support.hp.com/fr-fr/drivers/selfservice/hp-compaq-dc7800-small-form-factor-pc/3459241

I tried to put the kernel parameter on the screen i can see acpi off after that it launch the init file but nothing else. If i use a touch of the keyboard the screen turns off.

@btoffolon You might want to search the forums for dc7800 to find many posts on this hardware. Here is one post that might help your: https://forums.fogproject.org/post/137220

When I first encountered DC7800 problems I rolled the kernel way back to one even older than 4.15.2 […]
With 4.15.2 I have been able to image, capture, etc etc all different kinds of laptops and workstations via legacy and UEFI PXE boot without any problems.

            Old hardware, old kernel…

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)
