      Running Fog 1.5.9, latest kernel 5.6.19 in uefi mode, client has a nvme drive, the first partition captures, then 2nd is in progress and it crashes after sending 3.3gb, just says “An error has been detected”… And “Out of memory: Killed process”. The drive is a fresh Win10, about 20gb, image store has 66gb free. I have seen in another post 5.6.18 works on this hardware, tried it same results. Server is Debian 10.9, latest apt updates, kernel 4.19.0-16, has 6GB RAM free when it crashes. Not sure if it is the client or server that is causing the crash.

        @totalimpact The work is mostly done on the client machine. So the “Out of memory” message is coming from that machine itself I am sure.

        5.6.19 is not the latest kernel. Possibly you meant 5.10.19?!

        Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

          @totalimpact What is the compression factor you have for zstd?

          How much RAM is installed on target computer?

              @george1421
              It is Zstd, max 22 compression. Client has 8GB RAM.

                @totalimpact See if you can get a good image capture with 11. I’m not saying this is the problem, but the higher the compression with zstd the more memory it requires because it needs to hold larger chunks of the image in ram memory.

                The other option it could be is that we need to increase the amount of virtual hard drive space for FOS linux. But first lets see if lowering the compression ratio will help.
