      Hello,

I have a bunch of UEFI Lenovo S330 laptops I am trying to image. After I deploy the image from my FOG server to the device, I get stuck on the following screen. Any suggestions?

Either share the picture as public or post it in the forum directly.

@jgeorgic Ok with this, if you set the hard drive first in the boot order does it boot correctly? If so then its a refind config issue if not then its a disk image issue.

@george1421 It boots to this screen using the hard drive. I am new to using FOG so I am probably doing something dumb.
Would I need to create an image of a Lenovo s330 and then upload it to my FOG server and use that?

Thank you so much for your responses.

I don’t understand. Just to be clear I understand you get this screen when you pxe boot into the iPXE menu then the default for the ipxe menu is to boot to hard drive.

What I’m asking is if you change the boot order to boot from the hard drive, does it boot correctly into windows? We need to find out where it isn’t broken so we can focus on where it is.

@george1421 Sorry for the lack of clarity. No, when I change the primary boot to the HDD it gives me the same screen.

What target OS are you booting into? I’m finding it suspicious that you are getting refind screen, and you should NEVER get that screen with a MS Windows deployment. Its possible with a linux OS but not likely.

I also find it strange that its refind version 0.11.0, the current release of FOG should ship version 0.11.4

                      @george1421 Hi George,

The target OS I am trying to boot into is Windows 10. And I haven’t gotten to updating my FOG server from 1.5.9.0 to 1.5.9.3 yet, so maybe that could be the reason for refind to be at version 0.11.0.

@jgeorgic first refind 0.11.4 was added many releases ago. So you should have the latest with 1.5.7 or later.

Second, with a windows target OS and the target computer configured to boot from the hard drive first (and there is only one OS on the target drive), there is no way for the refind menu to appear. Its simply not possible unless the computer was configured for dual booting and you have a second OS on the target drive.

                          Hello

Did you find the solution, I have the same problem with 3 VM on proxmox :

                          • 1 debian fog server,
                          • 1 working windows 10 machine (That I have imaged)
                          • 1 test machine for deployment (I have the same problem after deployment)

                          Thanks for any help
