fog client on ubuntu 18.04

@jc35 This is a known but so far unsolved issue: https://github.com/FOGProject/fog-client/issues/93

I have worked on this last weekend a lot but still haven’t found a proper solution yet. Please give it a bit more time and we should be able to find and fix what is causing this.

@jc35 Got around to hopefully get this fixed. Before officially releasing it we need more testing. Please download https://github.com/FOGProject/fog-client/releases/download/0.11.19/SmartInstaller_Linux_stop_hang_fixed.exe and test on your Ubuntu 18.04 install. I have tested on pre-20.04 myself and therefore don’t have a clue if this updated fog-client will run in Ubuntu 18.04 using .Net 4.5.2 now. Please give it a try and let us know.

@jc35 So shutdown is not hanging anymore and fog-client functions as expected? Did you also test scheduling a power task to shutdown or reboot the machines?

Yesterday I have the same problem on a machine, when a powerdown.
I retry this. The client can’t contact the server because the vpn is down.
Client updater works on Linux ?

@jc35 Found some time to look into the client updater on Linux and seems like there are a few issues with that unfortunately. I was able to find and fix the first one but it still needs more work.
