update problem from 1.5.7 to 1.5.8
-
Hello,
I have an issue with updates.
fog server has been installed via *tar.gz (https://fogproject.org/download) last year.
and now I’m trying update it via https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Upgrade_to_trunk (master branch) - no luckafter executing ./installfog.sh
... Version: 1.5.8 Installer/Updater ... ... ... * Setting up fogproject user..................................Already exists The account "fogproject" already exists and has been used to logon and work on this machine. We highly recommend you NOT use this account for your work as it is supposed to be a system account! Please remove the account "fogproject" manually before running the installer again. Run: userdel fogproject Collapse
How can I update fog to the latest without changing configuration?
Thanks.

@selestial Make sure you don’t use this account for working on the FOG server. It’s the FOG servers service account and should never be used to login to the machine!
To re-set the login history data for this user to be able to finish the installer run
sudo lastlog --user fogproject --clear

Thanks. It’s helped.
