How to correctly renew encryption data on a dual-boot setup?
-
Hello,
I have a dual-boot setup with Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04. I installed the FOG client on both OS.
The remote shutdown feature does not work, in the log it says “invalid security token”. So I reset the encryption
data for the particular client at the FOG Server GUI. This works in the OS I’m currently logged in on the client.
It gets the new security token and the remote shutdown works. However, if I reboot to the other OS, there it says
invalid security token again. If I reset encryption data in the FOG Server, it works again. But then in the other OS it does not work anymore…Somehow the FOG Server does not recognize there are two OS’s on the client and that it has to keep track of two security tokens. Is it possible to have two OS’s on one client, both with a valid security token? I want to be able to remotely shutdown the client, no matter if it booted in Windows or Ubuntu.
Thanks for your help!

@marianheinsen Sorry to say this but it’s a known issue which would need major work to be done on the fog-client software which we don’t have the resources to do at the moment.
