Cannot Capture Desktop Machine - Reading Partition Tables Failed
-
Server: Debian 10
Fog Version: 1.5.7
Client: Win10Trying to capture a desktop computer that boots in UEFI mode but trying to capture in Legacy. The error I get says: Could not find partitions (/bin/fog.upload) I am also currently imaging a laptop that boots and is capturing in Legacy mode. The UEFI/Legacy difference is the only one I can think of. The desktop was able to capture using All Disks (not resizable) mode but I want to capture it in Single Disk (Resizable) mode

@zclift15 Please schedule a debug capture task on this machine and when you get to the shell run
lsblk
and post a picture of the output here. -
@Sebastian-Roth Heres the readout
-
Here’s a picture of the error
-
@zclift15 There are two disks in your system und one is without partition tables, so cannot be captured. If you want to capture from the other disk only set
/dev/sda
in the host’s settings in the Web UI. -
@Sebastian-Roth I am having the same problem but I do not know what you mean by setting /dev/sda in the hosts setting I do not see that setting anywhere in the web UI
-
@JSmiff47 The field I mean is called Host Primary Disk in the host’s settings.
-
@Sebastian-Roth I actually figured that out myself but it still did not work this is what my lsblk looks like
Edit: Converted WebP image:

@Sebastian-Roth I had the same errot as @zclift15 but it seems to have fixed itself perhaps it just took a minute for the change of primary disk to trickle down
