Just asking… no solution jet for UEFI boot over PXE? It works on some PCs and not in others. Any solution for this at this moment?

@maikBat I think you need to explain your environment a bit better, because uefi booting works perfectly.

      What is your dhcp server?
Are you passing ipxe.efi for uefi systems and undionly.kpxe for bios based systems?
What error are you seeing? (pictures speak better than words here)

        Ubuntu 16.04
        Fog 1.5.5
Unable to boot successfully from Dell Optiplex 3010 using UEFI. Works pretty good using legacy.

        Thanks

@maikBat So you are using the fog server as your dhcp server? Is that on an isolated imaging network?

Yes sir, Fog is isolated in its own network.

@maikBat Ok then if we are using the fog installed dhcp server we can rule out dhcp server configuration.

So I see you have a 3010 and that is in the same generation as the 7010. The 7010s have a know firmware (bug) that iPXE can never complete the initialization when the 7010 is in uefi mode. This issue has not been addressed because its a Dell issue not iPXE.

There is a workaround by booting from a usb drive bypassing iPXE. Its not a clean solution but workable.

After “Succeed to download NBP file” nothings happens. We have tried all available options in the Bios configuration.

@maikBat Do you have the bios at the latest release?
