      Hello!
I have a weird problem after deploying Windows 10 (or Windows Server 2016). Fog Server 1.5.5, kernel 4.19.6.
All client machines (Dell Optiplex 7010) currently have Windows 7 or Windows 8 installed on an SSD (rolled out without problems last year with FOG).
Now we have a new Windows 10 image created (on a Dell Optiplex 7010 …, exactly the same hardware as all other PCs), captured (without sysprep) and wanted to roll out the image.
The deployment is error free, but Windows does not boot (error 0xc0000225), indicating a bad boot loader.
Maybe someone has the same problem and maybe a solution for it?

EDIT: Additional Info: BIOS-config (legacy) is the same on all PCs
      best regards
      BB

Interesting detail in passing: With another computer series (Lenovo M900) this problem does not occur !!

@BB-IKT said in Windows 10 deployment - windows boot error:

Windows does not boot (error 0xc0000225), indicating a bad boot loader.

Please take a picture of the error screen and post here.

Although Windows 10 is really good with drivers I am wondering if it is just missing a driver to access your SSD very early in the stage of booting. Where did you initially create/pull that image from? Is it the same Dell Optiplex 7010 machine?

EDIT: Additional Info: BIOS-config (legacy) is the same on all PCs

Are you absolutely sure they are all the same. I mean source machine as well as destination. It kind of sounds like legacy BIOS and UEFI might be mixed up. Read more about this here: https://www.kapilarya.com/your-pc-needs-to-be-repaired-0xc0000225

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

Please support FOG if you like it: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Support_FOG

            Hi

I’m assuming it’s not an english version of windows?
In my case i had to rename the german “System-Reserviert” partition to “System Reserved” to get my images without sysprep bootable on different sizes of disks.

            Hope this helps

            Regards
