      Hello,
I installed fog on Centos 7 and set the fog by the Wiki tutorials.
the PXE begin the Deploying/Capturing and at the end it gives an error:

Update database failed… TFTP Login Incorrect username: fog

I tried to troubleshoot the TFTP, login to it from another computer and it works fine, yet on the PXE boot it doesn’t.
what could possible be the problem ?

      Thanks,
      Yarin.

@ylevy Can you please take a picture of the actual error message so we know for sure what you see.

Check your configs in /var/www/html/fog/lib/fog/config.class.php (currently used config) and /opt/fog/.fogsettings (used when re-running the installer).

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

@ylevy Have you checked the configs as suggested?

This sure resembles the issue where someone changes the linux user fog’s password, or they are using this linux user fog for system administration.

I do have a tutorial on how to resync the linux user fog so you can get past this step: https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/11203/resyncing-fog-s-service-account-password

Understand this is for the linux user fog that is FOG’s service account not the webui default admin by the same name.

Please help us build the FOG community with everyone involved. It's not just about coding - way more we need people to test things, update documentation and most importantly work on uniting the community of people enjoying and working on FOG!
