Giving deployed PC new name and IP automatic

Hello Folks

I’ve put on my Fog Server several images of Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04, now I want to give them when they restore an Static Ip and a new name. At the moment I do this manually. Is it possible to do that automatic for each machine?

@stylus3530 The FOG Client supports auto-naming already, but doesn’t do anything with IPs. You could script that part with Snapins though. Look in the Wiki for FOG Client and for Snapin Examples

It could be that it contains auto naming for Windows, but does it also have it for Ubuntu 16.04/18.04?

@stylus3530 yes the client does have renaming for Linux, Mac OS, and Windows. Windows has the benefit, however, of the host name early working from the imaging context.
