      Hi

I am using FOG (server version 1.4.4) to deploy a image to a Lenovo 300 and i’m getting the following error:

Error trying to restore GPT partition tables (...)
      Args Passed: /dev/mmcblk1 1 /images/(...)
CMD Tried: sgdisk -gl /images(...)/d1.mbr /dev/mmcblk1
      Exit returned code: 4

      Any ideas?

      Thanks in advance

        • Has FOG 1.4.4 ever worked with a Lenovo 300 for you?
        • Does your FOG server work with other models as expected?
        • Have you tried to re-capture the golden machine to a new image yet?

Yes. Sorry, I forgot to be more detailed in my post. It works with dozens of Lenovo Strick 300 PCs. Only one (so far) is failing with this error

Does your FOG server work with other models as expected?

Perfectly, it works with every single other PC we have

Have you tried to re-capture the golden machine to a new image yet?

I recreate the image using several different options: Single Disk Resizable, Multiple Partition - Single disk - Not Resizable… And different source Lenovo 300 also…It not worked in this particular problematic PC

It’s is important to say that this PC works perfectly if I install a fresh Windows, or Linux… Just the imaging isn’t working.

          Thank you.

Is this machine defined to use the specific /dev/mmcblk1 device? As this machine is the only one having problems I can only think the issue is with some piece of hardware on this machine. Ram, disk, memory, firmware, etc. How is this device configured in fog? Also, potentially, what’s physically different from this machine when compared to a machine of the same make/model?

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

I agree with Tom, if others of this model work fine, it’s something wrong with this particular one.

Yes, I also think that this stick is faulty. I posted this question here hoping that it was not the case.

Anyway, thank you very much for the answers guys.

I’ll just use this PC for some other project. Thank you all again.

                Bye
