Backup Image

Now that my FOG image server is up and running I want to create a full backup image of the drive. Can anybody recommend something easy and possibly free?

@dpotesta50 The best way to take an image of a FOG server is Clonezilla.

@wayne-workman Yeah I played around with that a bit but couldn’t figure it out.

@dpotesta50 My suggestion is keep trying. Personally, I find that running FOG from a VM is a far more flexible option - because you can migrate it to another VM Host easily, increase/decrease ram and cores easily, add disks easily, and take/restore snapshots easily.

@wayne-workman That’s actually a friggin’ genius idea. Too bad I didn’t do that at first. There’s no way I’m rebuilding this thing again. I needed outside help getting FOG configured.

Why not build a second fog and capture the first?
