      Title says it all, recently completed our update and everything was working fine up until we went to check our imaging log. Where would I look to start troubleshooting?

        @salted_cashews /etc/php/7.0/apache2/php.ini

        Look for memory_limit

        Change to 256M restart apache.

        This isn’t going to fix the memory issue though as fog uses a db set value for it. Please see: http://fogserver/fog/management/index.php?node=about&sub=settings to edit the memory limit option. It should be under the general settings block. Change fogserver accordingly.

        Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

            Ok so I checked the logs and it pointed me in 2 directions. These are the results of the error log and the lines following in the respective files:

            PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /var/www/html/fog/lib/fog/fogbase.class.php on line 2320
            line 2320 reads: foreach ((array)$other as $key => &$oth) {

            PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /var/www/html/fog/lib/fog/fogcontroller.class.php on line 125
            line 125 reads: $this->databaseFields = array_unique($this->databaseFields);

            PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /var/www/html/fog/lib/fog/fogcontroller.class.php on line 860
            line 860 reads: $methodCall = sprintf(‘load%s’, ucfirst($key));

            Is there more to this than I’m seeing? It sounds like we need to be able to allocate more memory than is being allowed?

              @salted_cashews There is a PHP option memory_limit you wanna increase. If you need help finding the right config file we need to know which Linux OS/version you use.

                    @tom-elliott Thank you sir, I just changed it through the fog management webpage. Do I need to change it within php.ini as well or does this overwrite that file?

                      @salted_cashews This doesn’t touch the file. However, it “overrides” it if that makes more sense.

                      You could’ve set php.ini to 1024M, if the fog settings wasn’t set to the same, you’d still be seeing the exact same memory problem.
