i have some issues with imaging on the Lenovo Thinkpad 13 G2.

The BIOS is on legacy >> secure disabled.

I use ThinkPad OneLink+ to RJ45 Adapter to boot from network.

Also i tried the ThinkPad USB-C-dockingstation. Also no result.

Can anyone tell me which kernel version or iPXE i need?

      Thanks a lot!!!

@twilems said in Lenovo Thinkpad 13 G2 kernel version or iPXE problem:

We need more information to be able to help. Best if you can post pictures of where exactly things start to go wrong, fail or hang.

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

@Twilems Your initial post sounded like this might be a hardware specific issue - not just because you posted in the hardware compat. section of the forum.

Now the error on the picture does not look like it’d be specific to the Lenovo TP 13 G2. You are way past an iPXE or kernel issue from my point of view. Are you sure other devices work properly?

@sebastian-roth yes, other devices works fine. I have imaged a Dell Optiplex 7010, Latitude 3380, Latitude 5440 and 5530 today.

@Twilems Is this Lenovo Thinkpad 13 G2 connected to a different network segment or switch?

@sebastian-roth No, it connected with the same cable and connection as the other devices. So that can’t be the issue. I imaged the devices today from the same place with the samen cable to the same switch.

@Twilems Have you tried several times with the Lenovo? Sorry if my questions sound stupid but I can’t think of any way that the error message “Failed to mount NFS Volume” could be related to the client hardware model.

Which version of FOG do you use? I tried to find that error message in the code but couldn’t. Maybe this is a rather old version of FOG?

@sebastian-roth yeah, i have tried several times. I use version 1.2.0. So it’s a old version of FOG.

@Twilems I am sorry but we don’t have enough resources to support older versions of FOG. I’d suggest setting up a test setup with FOG 1.5.0 on a different server/VM and see if you still have an error with your Lenovo Thinkpad 13 G2.
