    • How to transfert images

      Hi,
I have a old fog server with /images repository 1,9To. i’ve install new server with the same fog version 1.5.9.
Is it possible to transfert a few images of old server to the new server please ?

      On it : https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/6441/transfer-images-to-a-new-system/3?lang=fr
      I found this solution :

Make your storage node the same name
Make sure /etc/exports is in order
Make sure your image path is the same
Assuming /images, make your .mntcheck files and set perms:
      touch /images/.mntcheck
      touch /images/dev/.mntcheck
      chown -R fog:root /images
      chmod -R 777 /images
Import your images data via the web interface.

      This solution always ok ?
      Regards

I just did the test everything works fine with kernel 5-15.5.
Is it possible to give the kernel name at group level?
      Thank you very much Sebastian

Just before you click the “Create Task” button in the FOG web UI there is a checkbox for debug. Use that and start the machine up as usual. Eventually that should bring you to a command shell on the machine despite the error.
lspci -nn | grep -i net
      dmesg | grep -i -e eth -e firmware

      Ok i do i take pictures :

    • RE: How to made a new kernel

Ca you help me please ?

I try to doing this :
      https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Building_a_Custom_Kernel

      I don’t found file : kitchensink.config

      howto say :
Copy the .config file from the fog release package which is located in the Fog Setup ./kernel directory:
      cp /opt/fog-setup/fog_0.29/kernel/kitchensink.config /usr/src/linux-2.6.35.3/.config

      I don’t have kernel directory

in my /opt directory have fogproject-1.5.9 directory, and i don’t have .config file.
I try : find . -name config or .config
      Nothing

any idea ? this howto is really the last howto release ?
