Change default storage image location.
I would like the request a feature to be added where you can change the default image storage location to another system drive. It can be at install with a prompt where you are asked which drive you would like to store the images on.
the reason why when running virtual servers we tend to have 2 sets of raid, 1 raid stores the Operating system drives, and the other which stores the data.
thanks in advance

RE: Moving Default storage location
Hi I still need some help with this, is there an easy way to do this when installing fog on Ubuntu if you cannot do it after fog is installed?
(I have tried 1 of the ways suggested but it didn’t work, and the other way was well out of my skill level) or is there anyway i can suggest a feature to be added to new versions of FOG?

RE: Moving Default storage location
I’m not sure that is what i am looking to do, that looks like a shortcut almost or a copy of the orignal folder.
so i am running fog on Hyper-V I have a 50gb vhd with ubuntu on and an 500gb vhd empty for storing all my images.
There was no option when installing fog to specify a different storage location (i do not need to set up nodes as this fog server is just for 1 site)
i have logged onto the server and an see in the storage management the default node, i would like to point to my 500gb vhd instead of my50gb vhd.
i hope that makes more sense

Upgrading From v1.3.0-RC-2 to v1.3.5
Server
- FOG Version: 1.3.0-RC-2
- OS: Ubuntu (Debian) 14.04 LTS
Client
- Service Version: N/A
- OS: N/A
Description
Hi we are currently running fog 1.3.0-RC-2 and are looking to update to 1.3.5.
My questions are
Can we do a straight upgrade to 1.3.5?
and does Ubuntu need to be fully up to date before we upgrade Fog?
Thanks in advance

Upgrading from 1.2.0 to trunk
Hi I have set up a new fog server after our last one died on us unexpectedly. I installed fog 1.2.0 and then followed the guide on how to upgrade to fog trunk here using the SVN method.
https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Upgrade_to_trunki ran these commands which seemed to update my fog install
Install as seen in SVN
svn co https://svn.code.sf.net/p/freeghost/code/trunk /some/local/folder
Then navigate to the folder you specified and run:
sudo /some/local/folder/bin/./installfog.sh
But there are the following commands underneath that i have no idea if i need to run or not.
Update to latest
cd /some/local/folder/
svn up
cd bin
./installfog.shNOTE: You must run svn up in the "/some/local/folder/" and not in ".../fog/bin" nor in ".../fog"
if someone could help me out and clear this up for me and let me know if i have done things wrong or right.
thanks in advance

RE: Help with surface Pro 3 PXE
@Uncle-Frank hi I understand the point of learning myself, but going from Ubuntu to Fedora is like starting from scratch, this is my only problem with Linux and why I choose not to learn it there is no consistency. bdw the commands to disable the firewall aren’t working for me
