    • RE: FTP login error

      Mark it as solved and please add this to the “FTP troubleshooting FAQ page”…

      I found another forum with the same issue i was having.

      You have to open terminal type: passwd fog
      Then change password to: P@ssw0rd
      Login to webGUI, storage management, go to storage node, management password set to P@ssw0rd
      Open terminal ON STORAGE NODE type: vi /opt/fog/.fogsettings
      change the password in there to P@ssw0rd

      now that all 3 match, it works… Please adjust your FAQ accordingly

    • RE: FTP login error

      @tom-elliott Ok. So that is setup correctly. Now how do I go about fixing the FTP login issue in my Image Replicator Log?

      I have one image that will not replicate to my storage node because of an “FTP login error”…

      @tom-elliott

      This is my log from Image Replicator

      [05-10-18 8:25:20 pm] * Starting Image Replication.
      [05-10-18 8:15:20 pm] * Type: 2, File: /var/www/html/fog/lib/fog/fogftp.class.php, Line: 463, Message: ftp_login(): Login incorrect., Host: 10.4.11.114, Username: fog

      How do I find out what the Storage Node FTP login is???

      Is this what the "username=‘fog’ and password=‘longasspw’ " is for ?

    • FTP login error

      Before you send me to the FAQ page for FTP login issues, I have already been there.

      I have 1 storage node that will not replicate because of an FTP login. The FAQ page is not detailed enough and is a bit confusing about which password goes where…

      I have 2 boxes

      Box1 = Main fog server
      Box2 = Storage node

      Under Storage Management, I click on my Storage Node (Box2), at the bottom is a “Mangement Username & Management Password”

      Is have in there as username “fog” and password the long one from Box2’s .fogsettings file.

      Is this correct? Also, if it is correct, then where do I go to fix the FTP login???

    • RE: PXE to Storage Node, image deploying from different location (main fog server instead of Storage Node)

      I am using them on the same subnet because it’s in a VM test environment. If this feature does not work, I can’t put the Storage Node in a different location.

    • FOG Storage Node FTP error in Image Replicator log - files do not match

      Here is the log below. Any ideas as to why I keep getting “Files do not match.”?

      I think this might be the issue as to why I can’t pull the image from the storage node… I am only able to pull images from the master.

    • PXE to Storage Node, image deploying from different location (main fog server instead of Storage Node)

      I have 2 linux boxes.

      IP -> 10.4.11.112 (This is the main fog server. It is on “Default (1)” Storage group and is checked as master.

      IP -> 10.4.11.108 (Setup and configured as Storage Node. This is unchecked as master. I am able to PXE boot to this IP, register a host, but when I deploy an image it will pull from the main FOG Server. See pic below)

      Could this possibly be because I have not allowed enough time for the images from (.112) to replicate to the Storage Node (.108)?

      It’s been about a good hour from when I successfully installed and setup the Storage Node (10.4.11.108) so I am not 100% sure that the single image I have on (.112) has been completely transferred over.

      Any other thoughts?

      Cool, I waited about an hour now and data has been transferring to the images folder.

      Looks like it is working! I have another question, but will post it as a new topic

    • Storage Node - how to get it to update images from master?

      Hey Guys, this is probably something simple i missed, but I could use someones help.

      I just installed a storage node. Setup everything properly to where if I go to fogservers management page, it shows up in the web gui.

      I went into Storage Management, and updated the storage node to be in the same group as the main server.

      Currently on the main server there is 1 image that is created.

      I need that 1 image to be replicated to the storage node, but nothing is happening right now.

      Can someone tell me how to get it setup so they can both mirror each other? thanks!

    • Installing FOG on RHEL Server 7.5 - is this compatible?

      Hey guys, I have spent around 20 hours trying to get this to work on RHEL 7.5 and it has been a pain trying to get it to work.

      I followed the same instructions on wiki for Cent OS 7 and several things are currently working right now:

      Works:
      -Pxe boot to FOG
      -Register host to FOG
      -Webserver working

      Does NOT work:
      -capturing an image
      -imaging

      Is there an install document I should be looking at that is specifically for RHEL?

      When capturing an image, i get the error :

      “An error has been detected!”
      Could not mount images folder (/bin/fog.upload)
      Args Passed:
      Reason: mount: mounting 10.4.11.125:/images/dev on /images failed: No route to host

      Any help would be awesome! Thanks!
